From what I gathered tonight this may all be over with by Friday or Saturday, not solely because of your claimed Republican fears but because at least three democrats are going to jump ship, and Susan Collins was disgusted at the answer when asked why democrats didn't charge actual crimes in the articles of impeachment when the answer came back by claiming the "allegations" were akin to crimes. Not to mention the crazy response given by Nadler that all scholars except Dershowitz that impeachment didn't have to involve crimes or criminal like conduct. I am sure the average bear can figure Nadler hasn't spent a whole lot of time reading materials on the constitution in his life nor sitting down for coffee with the lot of them discussing constitutional measures.
Then there was the Trump tweet sent out that showed Bolton sitting in a Radio Free Europe Interview in August 2019 that totally demolished the claims made in his book....I am not on twitter but I found the video excerpt on utube....
Ouch!...that had to have hurt.
But not quite as much as the savvy minded who found the videos of Schiff calling Boltons credibility into question not once but twice in prior years after claiming this week that Bolton needed to testify in the impeachment trials as important and believable witness.
Apparently it's been being said that the house committee who issued the subpoena's didn't have authority to issue them, there had to be a house vote to issue the authority to the committee, therefore the subpoena's were invalid, one reason they couldn't follow the judicial process to force compliance. Now they expect the senate to jump on their clown shown of an impeachment bandwagon based on their haphazard basis of impeachment and save them from something that they only had a thirst for in the first place.
