All hail Sultan

I'm finally back to my lovely home town Ipoh, which is situated roughly 200km north from Kuala Lumpur, where I stayed.

The street front the first photo were taken at the Jalan Sultan Iskandar. Sultan is the king, and the name of the king is Iskandar. Jalan is road. That road is 1 of the 2 main road back in early 1900s when the British started to tin mining in this small town, back then it was called Hugh Low Street. But of course, everything changed for a reason. This road has been renamed for the king and the lighted word said Daulat Tuanku, meaning all hail the king! I just love this street, as this was the first place where the road and transport department, place the LED timer on the traffic light. The beginning few months, bunch of ricers came from different area code to our town, line up their rice car and rev their engines at the red lights, and launch a drag race. Don't laugh, it happened some 20 years ago when all these are so new to us 🤣

I'd be come back with more stories in my lovely little small town(they categorize this as a city) when I'm free. But for now, I need to catch some sleep.
