That biggest day of my life?

When talking about the biggest day of my life, it really depending on one' life experience. I myself, had this "biggest day of my life" experience when I myself become a father. I wouldn't put up the exact date, but my eldest kids is a millennial and you can tell by the pictures where I am wearing outdated clothing. She's now a teenage and I'm really proud of her.

I myself grew up in a very disciplined Christian family, but I have always been the black sheep among my siblings. Whatever my family doesn't agree with, I will go and try. Even my ex-girlfriend was pregnant, I didn't feel the urgency of getting ready of parenthood. In my mind was like, ok let's get the document done and I have a wife now. I didn't even think about what is awaiting in the future.

After 9 months, ex-girlfriend started getting into labor pain, so I send her to the hospital. In my mind, all these are processes, arrangements to be made. It's like if a person life has a user manual, now I'm in the chapter of "getting it out". But what doesn't cross my mind is, getting what out of my ex-girlfriend?

After 14 hours of labor, finally the doctor decided ok that's it. They push the female tiger into the operating theatre sliced her open, and bring me a human being. Tigress being sent to the ward, I can see my little tiger across the care room glass window. Then Darren came(later he became brother in law), offered me a cigarette and we had a chill time outside of the hospital.

Everything goes as plan, and nothing seems abnormal compare to my imagination. It's part of life, something goes in the womb, something came out of the tigress, and we have a baby. The moment the nurse hand me over my own little baby girl wrapped in a huge towel, everything has changed!

This is not only a baby, she's my responsibility. I can have all the sex I want in my life, but this one time makes all the difference. She is so heavy! Not the few ounces will make any significant muscle tear to me, but the amount of responsibilities put so much weight on my shoulder.

From that very moment onwards, I know the biggest day of my life is the first day of parenthood. It changes my lifestyle, it changes the way I think. The story for today is not about the kid I have, matter of fact I have two. I love them both, but the change only happen once. I need to live a life that I wish my kids would. The old me has died the day I have my first kid in my hand, and I'm officially a father, and I will be living with that title for the rest of my life.
