This is a review about Johnny Cash's Solitary Man

The first time I heard a new version of this song which "HIM" band covered it but there was no source to see who was its original artist but tonight as I was listening to Johhny Cash's songs, I found this gem between his old songs, this is "Solitary Man" from "American III" album, this song was written by Neil Diamond and performed by Johhny Cash (Performed it with an amazing vocal and acoustic guitar piece), the producers of this song were Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich. This amazing soft rock song was released on January 24, 1966.

In those years Johhny had health issues and he even hospitalized, the effect of his illness was even noticeable in the record of this song compared to how he was singing before this. which also added a special character to the song as he sings solitary man with a tired and old man's voice that he had with the pure emotions. I really enjoyed listening to this song.

The song's story is about a man who is broken and became solitary from the relationships he had before and he still waits for the girl who won't cheat and leave her and the one who would stay with him and "until that time I will stay as what I am, A solitary man" as he sings it too.
