Live for Others: A Must Read For All

Dear Steemians,
Have you ever thought on this " When, therefore, you act for others, you act for yourself, too?
Many of the things we do or experience in life- the troubles we shoulder, the difficulties we go through, the sacrifices we make, the things we deny ourselves, the inconveniences we encounter, and the suffering we endure in patience- are in most cases services which we perform and should perform for the sake of others.
A person would dare death, not because he want to take the sting or victory out of death, nor because he loves to die, nor that he may win laurel by it, but that he may save a country or suffering people or an individual from the ravages of war or from a national disaster or from the threat of destruction or from the hunger.
Several years ago, a child-the only child of his parents-was lost in the wilderness which was infested by wild animals. The father took his riffle and set out to find his only child. After walking some distance into the wilderness he came to a farmhouse. In the nearby woods to the farmhouse, the man saw fierce-looking but prowling leopards. He knew that the lives of any children who might be living in that farmhouse were threatened. But he became wild with anxiety about his own lonely child. Then he muttered to himself the following statement, Why should I stop and shoot these leopards and save these children who are unknown to me, when my own child is yonder in the wilderness in great peril?
But then he decided to those children first before going on search for his lost child. So, he stopped and shot the leopards who were about the farmhouse. When he had made sure that the leopards had died, he entered the farmhouse to bring the children out into safety. But lo! There was his own child. He thought that he had acted for the sake of others, but his others-centred love had brought back his joy, happiness and his only child back to him alive.
Let me ask a question for which I don’t expect any answer. Have you done anything in your life for the sake of others-without reciprocate to gain reward, or praise?
Think about that question as we deliberate here together on steemit.
For the Sake of others: Help the Needy around, Feed the hunger nearby you, your little contribution make a life a little better. As little as you can afford to help and put smile on someone in faces is very important and by doing that you are making a life.
hello @davidad how are you today?
proud to see your post again, you who always give motivation to live for us all, you are so extraordinary in telling this life, life does not have to die, live like water flowing in a river, if we think this life is indeed unfair, sometimes people happy over our own suffering, or even people can cry seeing how our lives are.
someone can judge how life works.
sometimes we ourselves don't know the life that is worthy of being seen by many people but we don't need people to see us with the splendor that we have now, enough of our hearts and always making good to the people, or giving half of the possessions we have.
that's what makes people proud of us.
keep bekarya @davidad you are so valuable to all of us, everyone needs motivation to live.
You are encouraging us all, thank you very much for sharing @davidad.
