Dear All,

The son of a great lawyer in a great city committed a grave offence and was arrested. When he was brought into the court the judge reprimanded him for disgracing the great name of his famous father. The poor boy, however, confessed that he never had an opportunity to his father because the father was always so busy defending other people’s children that he had no time to train his own children. Thus, he is the keeper of the vineyards of others, but his own vineyard he did not have time to keep. What I have said about the lawyer is equally applicable to a school teacher, a medical doctor, the religion leaders, a school guidance, counsellor, a psychiatrist, a matron in a school, a nurse, a dietician, a principal, etc.

There are numbers of lessons that we can gather from the statement. First, there are those of us who know how to care for others children but less for their own children because we busy over someone business and left our own undone. I want take example of two prophet life, Eli and Samuel. Samuel the great priest of Israel, was in his early life put the care of Eli. Samuel was prepared for the office of the priest. But unfortunately, Eli could not control his own household, and God told him, ‘I’ would punish the house of Eli. Forever, for the sin which he knew, because his sons were blaspheming God, and he did not restrain them.

There are so many Elis among us, too. They know how to guide others peoples children, but they do not how to guide their own children. They very perfect in criticize others children, but they see goodness and perfection in their own children. When faults is being put out in their own children, they take up arms and are ready to fight.

My Thought: Parents give your children some time at home, don’t let your work take over your responsibilities as parent to your children.
