Blogging And My Cat

This is my cat laying down where my keyboard usually goes. You see, that is the thing with having a cat and blogging here is that the cat will be a cat.

Cause I don't want her walking all over the keyboard like she does at times. So when she comes around I usually move the keyboard somewhere else near by.

Yes, this can slow down things if you got a part of a story in your head of what you might write about next. I don't know about you, but I always keep a pen and paper note book close by.

When the cat is around trying to step on my keys then I can always write pen to paper. Yes, if you got something on your mind and you want to keep it in your mind and even develop that idea write it down on pen and paper.

Did you know that people that write with pen and paper actually remember what they wrote down that way as compared to writing the same thing on a computer? It is true it seems right. I got it from an article I just read.

The pen and paper routine does go good when you have a cat in the picture. Of course the cat is interested in what I am doing and will want to walk on my paper too.

Sometimes I can get the cat off the keyboard or paper notebook by asking my cat if she wants a "Snack." Every time I give my cat a snack I always say the word "Snack" several times as I get her snack ready.

She starts to meow a certain way when I mention snack and walk toward the kitchen. That is where I give her, her snacks. The snack is a bit of wet food and I mix in some dry cat vitamin powder. She eats it up.

Well anyway when I am working on something and the cat comes along wanting to get my attention I do give her some attention. Then one option I have if I want to work on something I can occupy her time with a snack.

Right now as I write, this time on the keyboard. I have not seen my cat all morning. I don't hear anything falling of the counter. She is good at that. I know she is in the house. She must be sleeping.

Well, that is the best time for me to write is when my cat is sleeping.
