A walk to Rampart Reservoir..

So right across the street is a trailhead that leads up to Rampart Reservoir.. legend has it that it's a 2 mile walk.. I was chatting with @mcfarhat in Discord that I was gonna take Alaska for a walk..

Did someone say walk?

Ok Doggo let's finally make this trip to the reservoir.. a quick check of the map and we're off..

Let's turn on tune @Actifit tracker so we don't have a repeat of yesterday and away we go...

I know damn well I saw a no camping sign yet one quarter mile or so in I see a lean to..

Further along I find many places and pictures that I could use for #bouldersunday

I notice a smaller path off to the left and decide to take it.. I love short cuts.. as I come up over the hill.. WTF... how fucking awesome is this..

A closer look and there's a huge rock inside.. imagine the shenanigans that have gone on here..

Continuing down the path are some more #bouldersunday pics..

To bad it's Tuesday..

I round another bend and end up back on the main "trail" ... look another one of my favorite things.. waterfalls..

Damn.. I was hoping I was almost there..

At least the path turns back along the river..

Some Colorado bridges.. look at that engineering ingenuity..

I suspect someone else built this bridge.. noticed how it's all safe and pussyified.. prolly built by a city folk.. maybe one of them snobs from up in New York City..

Are we there yet?

Fuck no. But there's light at the end of the tunnel..

Okay.. ya got to zoom in to see it..

She's a cute, happy and well behaved dog...

Time for the walk back.
