Saturday Night Live (SNL) rips into Obama for his unconstitutional DACA executive order
SNL is as liberal a TV show as you can find. Some of their recent stuff is hilarious. McCarthy's satire of Spicer was laugh out loud funny.
But as a general rule SNL laid off Obama for almost eight years. Special kid glove treatment for the "first ever".
The one most noteable exception where SNL stepped up and did an excellent satire was on the topic of Obama's unconstitutional DACA executive order.
Step back and ask yourself - if the extreme left leaning SNL who rarely challenged Obama for his entire eight years was willing to go after him on his unconstitutional DACA law - why isn't today's media in 2017 willing to remember that what Obama did with DACA was unconstitutional?
What is MSMs motivation for ignoring the unconstitutionality of DACA, when this was "commonly understood" knowledge just four short years ago?
What is their motivation?
The Congress is supposed to write bills and pass laws.
The President is prohibited, by the Constitution, from writing laws.
Any President that tries to write laws is violating the Constitution.
If we allow any President to routinely violate the Constitution, we risk losing the Republic.
If you are in favor of a President routinely violating the Constitution, you are an Enemy of the Republic.
WAKE UP SHEEPLE !!!
The republic is worth saving.

p.s. if you even have to ask yourself what the motivation is of the MSM for adopting a position, then you are no longer talking about a news and facts type of organization. You are talking about a propaganda machine.

I wish more people would stop drinking the MSM kool-aid. I wonder.. do they not believe in the constitution? And if Trump is so bad then what does that say about Clinton that LOST to him? What ever happened to unbiased reporting?

I agree, all the crap that he did just got overlooked. Also Clinton, Comey, and Lynch all obstructed justice and it is documented and no one seems to care.
I've still got this hope that all the crap for the last 8 years is going to be fully exposed and put out in the open for all to look at the facts of what really happened.
I'm sure that will happen. But it might be under top secret seal for next 25 years, if the depth of the corruption and scandal deemed too deep and dark for the American public to handle.
There is so much corruption out there, also did you see that government official tell the lawyer there was no public interest in the clinton investigation, and that is why he was not going to release the files....
Thanks for the laugh, @davebrewer! This was, indeed, one of the few times that SNL took aim at President Obama for his overreach.
This country needs a clear and consistent immigration policy and laws that support it. Simply taking unilateral action that subverts the powers of Congress serves nothing but to further the chaos that surrounds and overwhelms us.

All presidents cover their secrets up , and it is not until after they leave office where it is slowely uncovered through the media. Presidents that have or are abusing power, should be punished . It doesn't seem fair
Agreed. A lot of Presidents secrets are held back for 25 years or longer. Kennedy was a national hero to many, but it took 25 years for all the philandering to become well known.
Trump is a different character for sure. I think most of his foibles are already well known and already on full public display. What you see if what you get.
He doesn't seem to be able to keep many secrets, except for the secrets between himself and his Twitter feed.
Perhaps he doesn't realize that we are able to see and read every word he types into the "twitter box"? LOL
WOW, awesome! Im new to social media and to Steemit but Im not new to common sense. That kind of crap (Obama's make-it-up law) is why the American people got so mad that they put Trump in office even though MSM swore up and down that Hillary (Dems) had it won no matter what to the very end. Well until it couldnt be lied about any longer. Thats a thought they should consider; They ticked off the people soo bad that they voted Trump even though it looked like Hillary would win no matter what. Its why we left MSM too!

Obama was the natural reaction to a nation weary of 8 years of Bush wars. Obama was the opposite of Bush, and that looked good after 8 years of Bush.
Trump was a natural reaction to 8 years of a pompous law professor community organizer who hated America and regularly went on America apology tours. Trump looked like a good antidote after 8 years of Obama.
Make America Great Again was directly in the face of everything Obama stood for, and it won Trump the presidency. As a big FU to Obama and everyone who liked Obama.
I'm sure the pattern will repeat. After 8 years of Trump, the nation is going to weary of his egotistical narcissism, and will choose an opposite as the next president.
If I was a Democrat and wanted to take a run at the White House in 2020, the best question to ask - what can I do now that will position me as the exact opposite of Trump?

Unfortunately they all suck. Obama was a very mild president though. Trump gives me a reason to wake up and read the news immediately. Pretty sure that isn't such a good thing. Being very libertarian, I hate his ruling on DACA. Congress doesn't act fast enough. His rulings on immigrants so far is abhorrent. But that is my 2 cents.....literally
Looked like 3 cents, but who is counting. I don't understand your comment about libertarian and not liking the DACA ruling. Unless you are going so far as to say their shouldn't be any countries or any borders and everyone should be able to move to wherever they want. If that was your point, I cant agree.

Tv and news has always been the source of many evils. Why ? Because the media give us what we think is "a true representation of the world".
Abductions, aircraft accidents, illnesses, murders .... All this is true, since it happens on TV! It is rare that we question this information. Yet journalists do not deprive themselves of using and abusing approximations and lies in their little reports.
And feeling smug and supremely confident while they do it.

You are right to repeatedly call out the hypocrisy when you see it.
What I found very interest was of the 7 countries on Trumps ban list, 5 of them were banned in 2016. And who was the President in 2016? Barack Obama. Yet the Obama supporters screamed racism and bloody murder at Trump's travel ban while being quiet when an Obama Administration bombed them.
So banning people from a particular country is inhumane but dropping bombs on them and killing civilians is acceptable......got it.
Hypocrisy. That can be the topic of my next post.

You write some wonderful stuff and bring up very valid points. I like people who approach the political arena with some fairness and candor. So many simply lob their ideology out there without much thought to what they are really doing. In my view, both parties are the same when it comes to hypocrisy and it is imperative to point it out.
It is like the flip flopping. The Dems were all over infrastructure spending when Obama was in office. Now that Trump wants a trillion or so, they are against it.
