The School Life I prefer by @dave-hanny
Hello, great members of the steemit blog, I am glad to be opportuned to be here again with my opinion and share on the above topic which is "The school life I prefer". By the grace of God, I have gone through both and I should believe that whatsoever I say here should be out of the experience while in high school or college so, make yourself very comfortable and relaxed as you read from my blog.
Before I say anything further, I would like to trash a little of the two keywords on the topic which are; high school and college. The difference is always clear, the high school is the secondary school a child attends to prepare against the obstacles in college.
The obstacles could be an equation or a derivation that demands the knowledge of the root of the topic, okay, the simplest example is that of Organic chemistry where a child would first have to know about the root in chemistry before reaching college would be an enlargement of the whole topic. A child who passed through high school wouldn't find anything too difficult in the college.
While
College by the little example I gave on high school, is a stage in education that follows high school education. Every student in the college is expected or assumed that they all passed through the high school and must have gained or obtained a certificate in my country called WAEC (National Agency Examination Council) which is the only certificate that would permit an individual entrance to the college.
Tell us about both your high school and college life.
I started high school earlier, and I go to school every day with the knowledge that teachers watch over me, and while on holidays I go home and my parents watch over me too. My high school life was full of caging me because my class teacher watches whatever I eat, my steps, and my performances in class and the worst is that my parents single-handedly dropped me under her care and strict watch. The friends I want to make, I find it hard because she would always call me to warn me and so many other things.
Well, my college was so different. Nobody watches over me, or talks to me about anything or any correction that matters in life and college Is very risky to schooling because most times newcomers to the campus are easily been deceived by the returning student because they felt they don't know WhatsApp yet and in the process of giving them help, they get deceived by wrong words. Fortunate for me, despite there being no one to watch me and I was staying alone in my college, I was too careful with my parent's instructions and I graduated safely.
In my college, I call home for whatsoever I need because it is believing that I am staying alone in school and my parents wouldn't allow me to lack anything so I was enjoying while in my college years.
What do you like and hate about each life
My high school Likes
I like the fact that I go to school every day to meet my friends and classmates.
I like the fact that my mummy cooks and package food for me while visiting me in school.
I like the fact that I'm being forced to read
I like the fact that I always took the first position and make my parents proud.
Dislikes
I dislike the monitoring
I dislike the uniform I wear every day.
I dislike everyday homework and assignments.
My college school likes
I like the privacy I had by staying alone off campus.
I like the freedom
I like the friendship I meet especially from different states and countries.
I like the chances for social activities.
Dislikes
Insecurity around the campus.
Two hours of lectures.
I dislike seminar presentations and surprising tests.
I dislike the fact of being too open to risk, especially in cases of rape and robbers.
What you've learned in each life (how each life impacted you)
I learned a lot from the entire schools and levels I attended. In summary, while in high school, I learned discipline which as a result, helped me in my college, I learned to be obedient to my parents and teachers because, in college, no one cares. In college, I learned how to manage the little I have, I learned to be careful with friends, I learn to stay alone and with different characters of humans, etc.
Lastly which life do you prefer and why?
I must say I prefer my college school life because of the following reasons. In my college, I learned to be independent of myself even if I have all I need but I still learn to manage to incase the world turns left of me. I also prefer my college school life because I get to meet different faces and characters, the liberty I had in my college school was so amazing that I could spend little time in social activities to learn the social part of life which is the best and which also means you've indeed passed through the college.
I remember when I got admission newly to the college, I observed respect from my parents why because they are feeling I'm gradually becoming a woman of my own who knows left and right. So, finishing college was so amazing that my behavior changed for the better as expected from my parents and the people around me.
Conclusion
Friends, it's always sweet when passing through the school and the school not passing through us, I never allowed school to pass through me, I made sure I grab all I needed to grab before leaving the school, and now as a graduate, I have the knowledge of almost every life why because I was taken along not with bad friends but with good friends. Thank you all for reading through the post, I never can tell which among these you would prefer but as an experienced student of both high and college school life, I want to say college school life is the best because it prepares an individual for the future.
