DO YOU HAVE A PLAN?

Happy new year to all my friends and fellow steemians. I know must of shouted that to each other by 12am on the first day of this year. I received and made a whole lot of calls to loved ones. We all wished each other well at beginning of the year but how many of us will actually have a good and fruitful year?

The truth of the matter is that not everyone will have a fantastic year. Some will just continue with the same routine as the previous year and get the same results while some forward thinkers will think and come up with ways to have a successful year. Some of those people who will just continue with the same routine of last year might do so because they feel they did well last year so there is no need to do anything extra. They feel relaxed and comfortable with old results. Whatever happened to wanting to be better?

Some other people do not have plans at all for the new year. They say they just want to go with the flow.

Go with the flow khe? What flow?

My focus, for the purpose of this post, is on this set of people.

Like my pastor would say, you don't just sit, wait and hope for good things will come to you. You get up and work for the things you want.

Life doesn't give you what you deserve, if gives you what you bargain for.

If you say you want to go with the flow, knowing full well what the word means, life will toss you up and down, back and forth till you get tired, give up and return to square one.

Life is not a bed of roses, but you can make your bed one rose at a time.

You need proper planning to go far and go well in life. Going through life without a plan makes you end up with shallow mind. You just take anything life gives you and you settle for less by doing that.

I will implore us to draw out a plan for the year, a full plan with alternative/ back up. If A doesn't work, try B.
