EXMO '23

EXMO is one of the most famous technical exhibitions in Sri Lanka. It had not happened for 7 years now. when we were at industrial training, we got the news that EXMO was going to be held again sooner. we were away from the university for months then. So, we couldn't engage with it at the start.

when we came back, some preparations were started and we could see a huge banner in front of the uni and also signs of it everywhere. Junior batches had started their work until we came. Once we came back, we immediately had to face the examinations. After that we fulltime worked for exmo.

Like in any event, working with friends was really enjoyable. we were given the task to make the banners for the exhibits at the start. After that, we made the preparations and demonstrations for the exhibits.

I engaged in the wine production process. That is related to the food and bio processing focus area. we tried making wine from four of the most abundant fruits in Sri Lanka.

Doing demonstrations was enjoyable and exhausting at the same time. But the people who were so happy with our exhibits and finding new knowledge made us really happy. I met some research students who are studying in the same areas. I was happy that I could be a help to them. Most importantly, we tried our best to address the people according to the conditions. For kids, we explained in a very simple manner. For AL students who likes to come to the same university, we gave some motivation and information that they needed. Some asked many questions about our role also. That is really important because many don't know who an engineer is.

Those three days were really happening and enjoyable. I loved them though they were very hard working. So that was one of the best memorable experiences in my life. Happy to be a part of this event.
