| Chickens like to take dust baths. When the soil is dry, they dig a small hole and just bathe in very fine dry dust. People say it helps chickens get rid of small parasites that live in their feathers. This is true because the chickens I saw clearly enjoyed this dry bath. And to keep their eyes protected from dust, they have a protective film (or third eyelid, I don't know what to call it) that looks creepy enough when chickens use it. | Кури полюбляють приймати пилові ванни. А для того, щоб очі були захищені від пилу, у них є захисна плівка (чи третя повіка, я не знаю, як це точно назвати), яка виглядає досить моторошно, коли кури її використовують. |
