The Changes I Noticed Recently in Steemit

It has been a month since I got out of the hospital for spine surgery and I noticed some crazy changes already here in Steemit:
- Rising in Reputation points are getting harder to attain after Level 65.
- Newbie minnows are getting more aggressive: they'll more likely put comments but never upvote your posts.
- Some newbie minnows still upvote my BIG hit post last month even though that won't get them any curation rewards.
- I maybe wrong but the big reduction in one's own vote juice after upvoting posts and comments isn't helping. Now most Steemers are prone to giving less than 5% upvotes.
- Newbie minnows still dish out posts on how to succeed in Steemit when the only obvious open secret strategy has always been PERSEVERANCE.
Thank you for reading my short post and STEEM ON!

I agree that these changes have infact happened. However, upvoting shouldn't be a problem. I stopped upvoting every post until someone made me realize that decrease in voting power shouldn't stop me from voting.
Minnows are scared. They think their tiny voting powers will be gone if they upvote every post; which is true to some extent. But if they look at the worth of their full votes, it isn't much. Hardly a few cents. Giving less votes won't make their own vote any bigger.
Thanks for the first good comment on this post!
Most welcome @darthnava. You were one of the first people I knew on Steemit the day I started using it.
It doesn't make sense to worry about managing your voting power until (and unless) you have a significant stake.
Even then, it may be more stress than it's worth, but before then, definitely just vote away and enjoy yourself. Try not to turn Steemit into too much of a grind (job) or you'll burn out. I have to watch myself on this and occasionally step away for a day.
Exactly what I wanted to say. Thanks.
@darthnava
Very well compiled.
Getting to next level even before repo 60 has also become difficult.
I read some article by vooting power which recommends, you should not vote more than 11 times in a day to retain 90%+voting power.
Its OK to vote until you reach 85% voting power IMHO.
Sure!!
I take your advice :)

I didn't think this was changed in the fork. It's just that since it's logarithmic, it takes longer and longer the higher you get.
"Now most Steemers are prone to giving less than 5% upvotes."
Yeah, I was doing this too because of the drastic increase in voting power per vote. You would run out pretty fast. Now I just upvote whatever and don't worry about my power. It was stressing me out trying to manage the voting power and curate endlessly.

I couldn't have put it better!
Thanks for the great comment!
insightful as ever sir darth
The voting power reality is a little crazy making, but my strategy is just to do 10 full upvotes a day, then keep going at 10%, but I guess without a slider that's a different equasion. Anyway regardless, nice post, full upvote!
Thank you, buddy!
I feel like the newbies hardly ever read anything. They are too busy spamming. A real shame. I hope things will change for the better again.
Well. you can flag their comment if they are below your Rep and if they irritate you.
Very good points. We are so use to everything being the speed of the internet that we get frustrated dealing n "real time" needed to achieve most important things.
Things move fast in this Universe. One thing we can be sure of is nothing stays the same. Love, Humor, Peace @darthnava
Yes, way too fast.
Some topical information. Thank you very much!
I think what you mean by your second point is the stupid bots that go around and comment without upvoting or following and even lie about upvoting and/or following you, hoping you're stupid to upvote their comment and unfortunately some Steemians don't check and these bots are getting rewards on their fake comments. It pisses me off when I see this happening.
