Bonjour fellow steemians and welcome to another one of my awesome adventures. this time my fellow steemians, I am going to write about a legend that has change the course of the game in the premier league where once was dominated by a strong fort and made a huge impact to a team we all know in the premier league. He is none other than the “Le Professeur” himself, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger.

Arsene Wenger has been the club longest serving manager for almost 22 years and now, finally, he has made his announcement in April 2018 that he will step down as the Arsenal manager at the end of the 2017-2018 seasons. Arsene Wenger was born in Strasbourg on 22nd October 1949 and was raised in Duttlenheim. He manages three teams before moving into Arsenal and the first team that he manages is Nancy and although he was dismissed in 1987, he continues his journey by being a manager to AS Monaco, a French football club team. It was quite a successful run for him in AS Monaco where they won the league championship in 1988 and Coupe de France in 1991 but with their failure in retaining the title led him to depart with AS Monaco in 1994. He briefly manages J. League or the Japanese League side Nagoya Grampus Eight and guided them to a victory in the Emperor’s Cup and Japanese Super Cup.

In 1996, Arsenal has appointed Arsene Wenger as their manager and two years later, he has brought a double cup for the team which are the League Cup and the FA Cup. He once again claims another double in 2002 by winning the same cup back in 1998. I bet you all football lovers out there know or heard about “The Invincible” team before right? Yes, the gunners were once been called as “The Invincible” where Wenger guided the team to an astounding 49 games without losing in Premier League. Those were the good old days for an Arsenal fan like me where Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Marc Overmars, Patrick Viera and plenty of more were still wearing the Gunners Logo on their chest.

Here are some of Arsene Wenger records while being a manager in Arsenal. He holds the record for the most FA Cup titles in a team where they won 7 titles. He helped Arsenal to win 3 FA Premier League and 7 FA Community Shield. He was also named as the Premier League Manager of the Season 3 times and was crown as the World Manager of the Year in 1998.

Yeah, the Gunners have their rise and fall, great players being traded and now with the departing of Wenger, but through it all, I am still a Gunners until the end. I am still wondering who is going to take Arsene Wenger sits as the new Arsenal manager. Well, that’s it from me fellow steemians.
