How are you doing steemians? And welcome to another adventure of mine. Do you guys familiar with this quote “Precious, my precious!!”? And if you guys do, then you guys have already watched, seen or even read the most epic trilogy in your life. It’s none other than the famous movie directed by Peter Jackson, Lord of the Rings (LOTR). The movie depicted from John Ronald Reuel Tolkien novel a man who is responsible for bringing us the fantasy of Middle Earth, Lord of the Rings (LOTR), The Hobbits and The Silmarillion. Well, I never was a fan of reading the book because I tend to fall asleep while reading it. Therefore, the finest solution will be watching the movie hahaha. I would like to mix both the LOTR trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy together but it seems I will be writing another novel for myself later. So, The Hobbit trilogy will be in my other post just stay tune for it.

The first LOTR movie The Fellowship of the Rings were released back in 2001 followed by The Two Tower in 2002 and the last one is in 2003, The Return of the King. I was really caught off guard the first time I watch the movie. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go to the movie to watch it, so the first movie I watched on TV and to be precise on RTM 2 channel. I didn’t know back then that the movie being cut off so many times to reduce the duration of the movie because it was like almost 3 hours. And the ending of the part one movie was totally unsatisfied when Gandalf fell off from the bridge, it left you hanging. Damn!!.

After a long 1 year of waiting, finally, the second part of the trilogy is out. The second part tells the story of Frodo and Sam continuing their journey in towards Mordor to destroy the One Ring a ring that was created by the Dark Lord Sauron. Along the way, Frodo and Sam joined with Gollum, a previous owner of the One Ring and that’s where the famous quote of “my precious, my precious!!” comes out. Gollum was hoping to get the ring back from Frodo by guiding them into the wrong and dangerous path to Mordor. 

The third and the last part of the amazing trilogy was The Return of the King. One of the best parts of that movie for me was the time when Aragorn calling out the Army of Dead or the Oathbreaker to assist them in the fight at Minas Tirith. The Army of Dead was cursed by Isildur as they didn’t take on their oath or promise to fight during the War of the Last Alliance. The only person that can break the curse was Aragorn, the true king of Arnor since he came of the line of Isildur. And of course the last part of the movie, where Frodo manages to throw the One Ring away into the pit of Mordor.

It was by far the best trilogy that I have ever watched and I hope that there will be another movie of J.R.R Tolkien. He certainly arouses the fantasy in you. I had watched the trilogy like plenty of times even though the whole trilogy was almost like 10 hours of duration. It’s a good way to waste your day off if you have nothing to do hahaha.
