Beginning of the end ?

in #economy7 years ago

We have been hearing news that the dollar will be collapsing bringing the economy with it. As a cryptocurrency investor I can't wait for such time as I know people will hedge to the land of crypto. Why wouldn't they? It has a high return and has been steadily growing .

Here are some key indications of the coming dollar collapse:

-Gold and silver rise dramatically.

-Dollars no longer being used to buy oil in the middle East (already started, Iran) even amongst OPEC nations (Saudi Arabia).

  • Russia and China announce RMB reserve currency amongst the new Silk road, one belt initiative, AIIB, BRICS, CIPS, Gazprom and Qatar establish new pipe lines through Syria or Turkey, and many other new global projects they have been investing 100's of billions of dollars in throughout the last couple-few years.

  • The continuation of the dumping of 100's of billions of US treasuries.

  • The Fed continues to hike interest rates, and actually goes through with unwinding their balance sheet. The last time this happened was the 2000 crash.

  • IMF moves to China

  • The Auto industry Bottoms out.

How to prepare yourself or hedge yourself?

  • Buy physical precious metals (Gold and Silver)

  • Invest in Cryptocurrencies ( Only the top 10s )

  • Sit on cash right now and buy on the dips and wait :)

  • Inform yourself.

This is definitely an interesting angle on global economics, but it would be great if you could post some evidence to support the claims you list. A few of these things I am aware of from following political and economic trends, but some readers might be less familiar.

Some of these things are easy to verify with a Google search, but you're putting a burden on the reader to either blindly trust you or to do more research. For many people, neither of these things is likely to happen.

Without the supporting evidence this comes off a bit like a conspiracy theory or an advertisement to promote buying crypto. Honestly, diversifying away from the USD is probably a good idea regardless of the risk of collapse, but you'd have a stronger argument with evidence.

Thanks for posting this tho, it's something everyone should be thinking about. The last line of your post is probably the best advice of all.
