Picking coffee fruit

In arabica coffee plants, ripe coffee fruits tend to fall out easily. If left to fall to the ground, the fruit will absorb odors above the ground which can reduce the quality of coffee. So it is recommended to immediately pick arabica coffee fruit so it looks full red.

The coffee is not harvested simultaneously, the picking process is carried out in stages. Here are some ways of picking coffee fruit:
Selective picking. Picking is done only on fruit that has full red color or has been perfectly cooked. The rest is left for further picking.
Half selective picking. Picking is done on all fruits in one dompol. The conditions in the dompolan have full red fruit.

Simultaneous picking or quoting racutan. Picking is done on all coffee fruits from all composts, including the green ones plucked out. Usually picking like this is done at the end of the harvest season.
Lelesan. Harvesting by picking up fallen coffee fruit falls on the ground because it is too mature.
