The Perfect Peace
Many do not usually understand what peace is. For this reason we will say that the word Paz comes from the Latin pax (pacis), which means "agreement or pact". Peace has been like a certain state of stillness or tranquility.
Its term is referred to the absence of war; everything that is focused on violent conflicts between States. In International Law, it is taken into account as a treaty or agreement that is concluded between the combative parties to put an end to a war. On an individual and social level, peace is the ideal state that a human being could have or aspire to, or a society in itself, since this way it is possible to reach a situation of total harmony and balance between the heart and the mind of the individual ; it is an absence of conflicts and struggles. The only way to achieve the progress and development of the person and of the peoples, for example countries or neighbors, is for all to carry out peace. Today peace is often indispensable in the world, over the centuries there have been some battles and wars between peoples and nations, one of them with very destructive results in material and human and there are still a number of clashes and local and / or regional conflicts, this is why the important thing of capturing peace among all is a really complex task, but nobody said that it can not be impossible.
There was once a king who offered a great prize to that artist who could in a painting draw perfect peace. Many artists tried it and presented their works in the king's palace. The big day had arrived.
The king observed and admired all the paintings, but there were only two that he really liked and had to choose between them.
The first was a very calm lake. This lake was a perfect mirror reflecting the placid mountains that surrounded it. Above these was a very blue sky with faint white clouds.
Everyone who looked at this painting thought that it reflected perfect peace.
The second painting also had mountains but these were rugged and uncovered. Above them was a furious sky from which fell an impetuous downpour with lightning and thunder. Down below, a sparkling stream of water seemed to rumble. All this was not revealed at all peaceful.
But when the king looked carefully, he looked behind the waterfall at a delicate bush growing in a crack in the rock. In this bush was a nest. There, in the midst of the roar of the violent fall of water, was sitting placidly a bird in the middle of its nest ...
Perfect peace ... the whole town was wondering what picture the king would choose?
The wise king chose the second, and explained to the people why ...
"Because," the king explained, "Peace does not mean being in a place without noise, without problems, without hard work or without pain. Peace means that despite being in the midst of these things, we remain calm within our hearts. This is the true meaning of peace."
And you ... have you found true peace of heart? ...
John 14:27
"Peace I leave you, my peace I give you: not as the world gives it, I give it to you. Not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
Inner peace does not mean, to be in a place without noise without problems without hard work or without pain. Peace means that despite being in the middle of these things, we remain calm within our heart.
