Chicken Soup with Banana Ball (My recipe)

Hello my dear steemians, today I bring you a very tasty recipe to my style, it is a Chicken Soup with Banana Ball, ideal to consume it on a Sunday in full rest, a marvel.
The boiled or sancocho is a soup with a great content of ingredients and dressings that give it a very characteristic flavor, it is customary to prepare in all regions of the country, it is a national dish that can be found in any of our cities and towns; It has an endless number of variations according to the area where it is prepared, it varies both in its form of preparation, as in its way of accompanying it or eating, it is an important part of our cuisine and can be prepared with meat, chicken, chicken or fish , they can be "crossed" using two or more of these main ingredients, but usually one is prepared.


In our country this soup is like many of our typical dishes, part of our mestizo heritage, an example of our color, of the transformation of the fruits that gives us this land full of abundance and wealth that is Venezuela.
This recipe that I provide is that of the Boiled Chicken with an additional companion as is the banana ball, used to prepare mainly in the East of the country:


In Venezuela, especially in the eastern states it is customary to eat the banana ball, a tasty companion for various foods, such as sancocho, fried or stewed fish or in other form and other culinary specialties of the region.A maize pilon is needed for its preparation.


Soup ingredients

1 hen
1 Achored chop chopped in small squares.
4 Lts of Water
¼ Kg of celery cut into cubes of 2.5 x 2.5 CMS approx.
½ Kg. Of auyama cut in cubes of 2,5 x 2,5 CMS aprox.
¼ Kg. Of ocumoñame cut into cubes of 2,5 x 2,5 CMS approx.
¼ Kg. Of cut into cubes of 2,5 x 2,5 CMS approx.
½ Kg of Yucca cut into cubes of 2.5 x 2.5 CMS approx.
¼ Kg. Of carrots cut into cubes of 2.5 x 2,5 CMS approx.
1 kg. of potatoes
1 onion cut in half
1 sprig of chives
2 heads of garlic
½ red paprika
3 sweet peppers
1 branch of Celery,
1 cilantro, 1 parsley
Salt
color


Ingredients Platano Ball

6 green bananas
salt to taste
1 Pilon


Soup Preparation

Mount in a pot, the chicken chopped into pieces, additionally season with garlic, half of the onion, salt, chives, aji, paprika. Place it on moderate heat until soft.It is important to remove the foam that forms on the surface, to obtain a clean and clear broth.


When it is soft, add the cut vegetables, add the rest of the water and let it boil.Add the rest of onion, paprika and chili pepper.

When the vegetables are cooked, the salt is rectified and finally the cilantro, celery and parsley are added.


When the soup is ready remove the branches. Serve in bowls in a harmonious way, Enjoy this colorful and seasoned soup, camping it with a banana ball.

Preparation of banana ball

The preparation of this dish is very simple:
1.- Parboiled peeled green bananas, with a little salt, chopped in half and this half chopped in turn in two.
2.- They are allowed to cook without they come to boil or get rid of bananas. These must be a little hard so that the consistency of the ball is adequate.
3.- Once this cooking is finished, they are lowered from the candle and left to rest until they cool down. Then they are piled in the respective pylon until the bananas are turned into a homogeneous, soft mass.
The time of pile is determined by the banana itself: when it is well piled, at its point, the mass that has formed is stuck to the pylon hand (it is an exclusive tool for pillar bananas, corn and other grains, made of wood , used mainly in the province, more than anything in the field), indicating that it does not need to be piled more.
