Juju Dhau (King of Yogurts)

As the name Juju Dhau, meaning King of Yogurts, it is the most tastiest curd in the world. It is made up of mixed buffalo and cow milk. Milk is boiled up in an iron pot in high temperatures along with cloves, cardamom, coconut and cashew – sugar, properly, stirred vigorously before poured into clay pots. Then its cooled down with the addition of an older batch to introduce the lactobacillus that makes it curdle. The reason behind using clay pots is, it help to absorb the moisture and helps to make the curd thicker and tastier. One of the unique characteristics of juju dhau other than its taste is that if you hold the clay pot upside down the curd will NOT fall out!

The unique creamy and mildly sweet juju dhau is the one of the reason, Bhaktapur is famous for.
