That used to be the case but now I think it takes 3 days. I am not Powering Down until Steem is at least $200, but if it goes that high then I certainly wont be selling.
I think you've just identified a really great feature that could be incorporated to Steemit with this. It would be great to view a reward statement!
Otherwise I'd advise against letting them stack and claiming at once - you lose out on some of the magic of the compounding effect.
