I enjoy Steemit more then FB
It's true. Scrolling through my newsfeed is painful. One meaningless post to another, it's just not very enjoyable. I feel like I'm falling down in the mud when I get sucked into watching videos. Facebook today is trying to be Vine, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram and LinkedIn. It's a real mess. What I'm trying to say is, it feels different when I browse Steemit.
I always know I'm going to find something interesting here. If it's not something on the New page I know I can go to Hot or Trending, to find something excellent. Thoughtfulness is the name of the game here on Steemit. I could care less about the money, and the money follows if you are doing what you love. Sitting in this Customer Lounge where I am today, I much prefer to sit and write on Steemit vs Facebook, because it doesn't feel like a waste.
I have an analogy I came up with about using Facebook. When you post on Fb it's like throwing your content into the garbage. Directly into the trash bin. Even if you share something, you're just taking it out of one trash bin and putting it in your own.

I feel you @darkflame
I will say this...
Steemit is my NEW news feed
It does feel like trashing my efforts, specially if comments are involved because when you comment on other people's posts they can delete it. If facebook doesn't want anyone to see your stuff no one will. There are many subjects that they censor. And overall people are used to having comfort zones which makes it difficult for them to accept new things. Here on Steemit there is no way to completely delete anything so having an account comes with a certain sense of accountability, I like that. Add to it the subject of cryptocurrencies and the fact that people that come here are opening themselves to this new things in a way, I think this makes the audience more receptive.
We are being spoiled on steemit > we'll never be able to go back to facebook or any other suppressed social media, again.

So spot on I'm resteeming and following now.

One of my first posts was about leaving LinkedIn
and now I am certain that the improvements that are
coming down the pike will make SteemIt far, FAR more valuable.
And it's already very valuable to me for the same reasons @darkflame
Thank you for the post.
A very imortant thing to note too, FB is making money off every interaction on FB, paying us nothing. We now have something better, that pays the users. It just needs to get to a critical mass of users, something like the size of FB.....then kill FB completely by deserting it en mass.
