Why child abuse #2
Why child abuse #2
The issue of child abuse has been on, but we look out for ways in which it can reduce or eradicated. In this section, I will emphasize on the causes, effects, and prevention.
There are many causes that can lead to child abuse. For example, W.H.O sees the causes as based on environment, individuals and society where such children are found. It can also be linked to their sex, age and individual background/history. There are also security issues, cultural norms as a result of beliefs, with that environment.
In some areas, beating children for doing wrong are not seen as offence or child abuse while in some other place is a crime spanking children. Some does not see harsh or painful punishment as an offence, and so environments, economic inequality and trying to discipline children via harsh medium can be considered as causes child abuse.
Mostly in Africa, due to the high poverty level in our society, child abuse has been a serious issue. Some family means of livelihood is via adult and child labour. These are very serious issues relating to child abuse. They are also effects of child abuse. This is a gradual development on the victims as it does not just manifest automatically, but gradually. It always comes up via physical and psychological effect which subsequently result in ill health to chronic health challenges which can cause the risk of premature death. This situation is something that can grow from childhood to adulthood.
Effects
The emotional effect is also a very serious one because when children are ignored, terrorized, shamed and humiliated, it affects even their brain development, and these are as a result of the ill-treatment they suffer from people taking care of them, e.g caregivers, parents, nannies etc. Serious effects that result from child abuse or maltreatment is the feeling of insecurity, low self-esteem, lack of development, as well as other difficulties like social withdrawal, being aggressive both in schools and in public, as a result of their painful experiences.
Other effects can also be not having confidence in people around them by avoiding close relationships, with parents, nasty behaviours, use of foul language on both younger and older ones. Other related effects as a result of domestic violence on children include depression, academic challenge, being abusive thereby developing issues language problems
Suggestions
The following are suggestions for preventing child abuse. There are sections of both governmental and non-governmental groups who are authorized to enforce laws related to child abuse. Such bodies should be empowered to do their jobs effectively. There should be continuous awareness via workshops, seminars and training of parents, caregivers and the entire public on how to take care of children and their boundaries in the relation of discipline so as not to be excessive in the area of punishing children when they misbehave, and also create government bodies that are to be involved in child discipline.
When the adequate check is placed on both adults and children on child training, those who go against the rules and regulations will be legally punished. This will help to control child abuse crimes because sometimes, children can trigger some challenges they encounter in the aspect of child abuse. With these suggested measures, I believe that child abuses will be reduced.

At first we need to make people aware about the problems occurring from child abuse.I think awareness must be the best weapon to stop this guilt
Child abuse is one of the things that still occurs in society. It starts from home, where poverty is the order of the day. Of course it happens everywhere, but poor children are more prone to abuse. I've seen several cases, but the thing is; The parents have a lot to do. Every abused children have a care giver. Their responsibilities in taking care of these children goes a long way. There is more to the issue of child abuse, but to cut the story short, all hands must be on deck to fight child abuse.
