The era long before now, precisely the nepotelian era, the world was more warm and temperate to live in before the present industrial era, where harmful gases where disbursed into the atmosphere. These dangerous gases are termed the green house gases which contribute immensely to the depeletion of the ozone layer and causing heating up of the atmosphere causing global warming.

Climate change is the alteration in the regular atmospheric conditions due to environmental factors, which in turn causes environmental hazards such as floods, earthquakes, avalanche just to mention but a few.

CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE

• BUSH BURNING:

Firewood when burnt releases carbon which reacts with oxygen in the atmosphere producing a dangerous compound gas carbondioxide which is a harmful green house gas. When saturated into the atmosphere causes climate changes and depletion of the ozone layer. A primary cause of climate change

• DEFORESTATION:

Felling of trees us a very dangerous activity. The trees and vast vegetations serve as support to the atmosphere, providing oxygen to the atmosphere during the biological process of photosynthesis cushioning the danger of global warming. Moreso, if these trees are destroyed or felled, the rate of climate change would increase, thereby posing more threat to the environment.

• IMPROPER REFUSE DISPOSAL

Improper refuse such as pet bottles and non-biodegradable materials such as nylon, polymer, obstruct the drainages and in tropical lagoons or rain forest zones causes over flowing of the river banks and heavy threat of flooding which damages crops and causes loss of lives and destruction of properties.

SOLUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE

• Proper refuse disposal:
  This cannot be over-emphasised. The proper disposal of refuse would reduce the rate of flooding and swelling and overflowing of the river bank. These activities could produce solution to climatic challenges such as flooding.

• Planting of trees and gardens:
  If everyone has a blooming garden, it would reduce the risk of global warming and provide lasting solution to dangerous climatic changes as we see today.

• Nuclear weapons and nuclear gases are heavy dangerous gases to the atmosphere which could lead to global warming. The restriction of these gases expelled to the atmosphere would reduce climate changes and provide solution to climatic changes as we see in our world today.

Conclusion

Climate changes as we see today would determine the possibility of survival from dangerous hazards such as flooding and earthquakes. All hands should be on deck to ensure our environments are in order. Save our atmosphere and perhaps these environmental issues and bad climatic conditions could be averted.
