To find yourself or to get to know yourself, you probably know from your teenage age, from the time of the adolescence. To accept yourself and to take care of you accordingly, it is important that you understand yourself and ask yourself the question: Who am I? That is why it is perfectly normal and even essential to ask these questions more often, so that you can understand yourself better. A benevolent and understanding feeling towards yourself helps you to advance in life and brings a certain meaning to your experiences. Without this feeling, you may feel "lost". That is why we have listed 22 questions to help you discover you

If you place the needs of others on your own, you will forget yourself. That means, if you concentrate only on others, you neglect yourself. Perhaps even so much that it is difficult for you to perceive and appreciate your own needs knowledge. This greatly minimizes your perception of the feeling that shows you who you are and what you need.

You always look beautiful that you are distracted. No matter whether by food, alcohol or any electronic devices. This is also fun, the difficulty with this is that you lose important information about yourself. How often do you get your smartphone or something to eat when something is unpleasant? These distractions keep you from learning more about yourself. They take the chance to be curious about you and to feel inside you, as you really are and what you need.

There are always changes in life. Which is not necessarily bad. In connection with a negative event, such as a separation, termination or loss of a person, these changes can cause you to question yourself, not to recognize yourself, or generally to not really know who you are. This is because you have different roles in different parts of your life. If this role disappears from your life and image of yourself, you have to find yourself here again and understand what makes it so difficult to take this role any longer.

You feel shame, bad, and constantly shifting parts of yourself. You may have learned that you are funny, not pretty, dumb, or generally not valuable. You were teased or criticized. Maybe you wanted to make a certain thing as a child, but others told you that it was uncool. So you did not make it at all. This applies to all the feelings and needs that you have put back in the past. You have adapted too much and you have been someone you did not want to be. This state leads over a longer period of time to forget who you are, what you want and what you need.

Before we come to the list of questions, have a few tips on how to do this:

  • You should not answer these questions by the way. Take your time for it.
  • Do not take too many questions at once. It makes sense that you find out 2-3 questions and then these in detail for you to play through and answer.
  • Be curious! Even if it becomes difficult, you should be open and interested in yourself.
  • Observe your thoughts and feelings during exercise. These can provide you with more valuable information about yourself.

The list of questions, of course, is just an excerpt from many possible questions. Perhaps you can think of answering directly new questions.

  • What are my strengths?
  • Who is most important to me? To which people can I trust?
  • What do I feel ashamed of?
  • What am I really proud of?
  • What do I like to have fun with?
  • What would I like to try new?
  • What are my worries?
  • What am I grateful for?
  • If I had a wish free, that would be _________
  • Where do I feel most secure?
  • If I was not afraid, I would __________
  • What was my biggest mistake?
  • What do I like about my job / study? What I do not like?
  • What does my inner critic say?
  • How do I look after myself? What am I doing?
  • Am I more introverted or extroverted? Am I in company or alone?
  • What is important to me in life? What are my values? What do I think?
  • What are my short-term / long-term goals?
  • What am I right on?
  • What is my most beautiful memory?
  • When I feel bad, I care about myself by saying _________
  • What is really stressing me?

Note that there is no rating when answering your questions. It's about discovering yourself and understanding better, not about making you sick. Even if you get annoyed by some answers or make you feel bad, think about where that comes from and what you can change. And think about small steps, so you can really go.
