Smoking health effects
No matter how you smoke, tobacco is dangerous to your health. There are no safe substances in tobacco products, acetone and tar with nicotine and carbon monoxide. The substances you inhale will not only affect your lungs.
Smoking does not do your passers-by well. Smoking increases the risk of age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in adults over the age of 65 years.
Smokers lose their bone density faster than nonsmokers, putting them at risk of breaking body parts like the hip. Stopping the cigarette can help slow this process down and prevent you from sweating, not your bones, on the dance floor.
Hearing loss Smoking reduces the oxygenation of the cochlea, a snail-shaped organ in the inner ear. This can cause permanent damage to the cochlea and mild to moderate hearing loss.
Blindness and night vision. Smoking causes physical changes in the eyes that can endanger your eyesight. Nicotine in cigarettes limits the production of a chemical that you need to see at night. In addition, smoking increases the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration (both can lead to blindness).
Smoking damages the heart and blood circulation and increases the risk of heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, peripheral vascular disease (damaged blood vessels) and cerebrovascular disease (damaged arteries that supply the brain).
