Elemental Initiations ~ 4 poems dedicated to the elements
My body is a temple formed from her clay and dust.
This is primal,
this howl at the Moon is from deep within.
With her,
I am one.
When I am Earth,
there is never a moment to be alone or scared.
I will dance to her heartbeat often,
become again her daughter
so she knows my body when I return,
become her,
become Earth.
I will paint my body in her colors,
amber skin and dusted feet,
I'll lay my scars down for the world to see.
In her dust I found the pathway in.
Center of spiral,
radiating sun,
the arrow continues on forever.
Power is my blood,
I am Earth.
Through me all life flows,
through me all blessings are carried.
I purify your body
and carry your dreams.
Your songs of prayer ride on my wings
to the great heavens above.
I am friend to the sacred smoke of the fire,
as we are partners in cleansing your heart.
My medicine is sacred because
I am without boundaries.
I am your breath,
your life force.
I teach you how to move through time and space unnoticed.
I travel places unknown to human, animal, and creature.
These are the homes of Spirits and souls.
I nourish them.
I am a traveler,
yet everywhere is my land and sacred space.
I give the winged ones flight,
and the land creatures life.
I show you how everything dances,
and is alive.
I am air.
He is my creator.
The gatekeeper,
the movement between worlds.
He will eat your fear,
and leave you breathless on the other side.
He will kiss your pain,
and ignite the warmth of love in your veins.
If you surrender your bones,
if you dance to his flames,
he will find his way inside of you.
But you must not be skeptical,
for questions are not for the fire.
Fire is knowing,
Fire is inherent wisdom,
Fire is life.
Look deep within his flames,
and you will find his tender heart.
Now sing,
Sing from the place in you that is Creator of life,
sing to him-
let him know your voice.
Now walk with purpose,
walk through him-
let him meet your soul.
thoughts must become.
Pray.
Immerse.
Let go.
Surrender.
Womb of Earth-
