Starting Our Road Trip To Lagos Andinos

A few weeks ago I posted about our road trip to San Martín de Los Andes where we passed many beautiful lakes.

One of the lakes that we passed was Lagos Andinos, and today we went back for a few days hiking to discover the hiking route and to explore more. Starting at Playa Lago Quillehue we walked up to Laguna Perdida (lost lake), then Laguna Huinfuca.

There are plenty of signposts to help you find your way

After waking up we took the same route in the car up to the border from Pucón. Along the way, we passed more Mapuche villages and climbed higher and higher in altitude.

The mountain of Cerro Las Peinetas helped us to keep an idea of which direction we were going, and gave us a stunning view before we even arrived at the lakes.
