CAN YOU MOVE THE EARS?
video taken from a Samsumg Galaxy S3 mini
It is curious that some people can move their ears, I have a friend who does it and I thought it was a particular phenotype but I discovered that all people are capable of having that possibility of moving both ears.
One of the reasons for being able to move the ears is that the auricular pavilion has three muscles with its corresponding nerve, the facial that also takes care of many other muscles of the face. Consequently, people who can move their ears have learned to contract auricular muscles using the nerve pathway involved through the facial nerve.
The power to move the ears has no function otherwise in some animals such as: Cats, dogs, horses and mice, to mention a few, are able to direct and move the ears at will to perceive the sounds of the environment with much more precision .

I can't but I have friends who can do it, what a peculiar capacity.
