Chef Life Issue #1: Japanese inspired Burger in Malaysia
A creation from a friend that's on the menu for good, a teriyaki based burger a.k.a. The Emperor!
Here's the breakdown to the burger for those of you that might like to try it out at home.
- Sesame seed bun (of course you can go with your favorite bun instead)
- Housemade beef patties (I have a mix that I marinade it with which consists of crushed black peppers)
- Vegetables are: coral lettuce, tomatoes from a local mountain called Cameron Highlands (cool vacation destination as well btw)
- American cheese
- A golden fried egg (I recommend astaxanthin is you can find them)
- Fried tempura battered julienne green peppers and onions
- Fresh spring onions sliced thinly for garnish
- Teriyaki sauce of course
- And believe it or not the secret component to this burger which, I know most might ridicule, coleslaw :D
It's one of my favorite burgers on the menu. Do check us out at Big Hug Burger in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor to support us local people trying to make it in this big world :D
look amazing. Nice burger
Oh thanks! I'll keep more food from my restaurant coming and probably some pics of food from other friends restaurants :)
NICE
Yum! Definately will drop by when I visit Malaysia! Looks delicious :)
Oh cool! Drop me a line when you're in town :D
