YOUTUBE WILL CONTINUE TO BE NUMBER ONE until someone can make this key feature possible.
Hello peeps here I am again to ruin your day I know its all my fault I can handle it. Just because you don't want to hear it does not make it untrue.
Im gonna cut right to the chase... YOUTUBE VIDEOS CAN BE EMBEDDED directly into any sites HTML and streamed directly off of googles massive SERVERS.
I have seen 3 sites that claim to be able to be able to take over the video sharing world and I will flat out say as a website developer its not true unless they come up with a way to embed their files into another pages html. The way these sites are made from what I have read it will never be possible and by the time it is im sure google will take advantage of that.
So i checked out Library.io NO EMBED FUNCTION

Sorry guys but this is a bigger issue then you think. When you pull people from your website with a direct link. People are too add these days there is a very good chance the are not going to go back to the original page the came from. That would involve to much. clicking on history clicking another thing. You might that thats easy but yeah. You are wrong. I have done experiments with two different websites back in the 90s where i made a website similiar to a clients where it was access to thousand of midi files. My site redirected you to sites where you could grab them off other peoples servers and his opened in a new window(Still not embedding) His traffic was higher and actually so was his bandwidth because his website was still opened in the background so when they got done grabbing the midis it was very easy just to be back doing what they were originally doing. I also read many articles about this then it was a huge thing and "trick" in the web developing world. Youtube knows this. Is youtube shit? kind of. Do they censor? Yes. Have people seen pay cuts? Yes. But.... I hope these youtubers realize how much effing money goes into storing files on someones servers let alone buying your own. There is no such thing as free.
Notice when you hit play on this video it doesn't take you to another page? Yeah that is valuable.
Doing anything decentralized is difficult, especially video. Embedding is very important and I hope they figure it out.

I'm already hating viewly, ripping off other sites/ apps and mashing it into something "new". But the avg person doesnt give a damn about blockchain, decentralized this and that.
And the idea that there'll be "No pesky ads" but sponsors can endorse creators, is weird and not well thought out imho.
I had fun watching my first nsfw video on dtube though (softcore at best). If dtube gets a better name and domain name, makes some changes to the ui, they could dethrone Youtube imho.
Hopefully one of the devs for Viewly sees this post and decides to make their site more "modern"
