Introducing myself to the Steemit community! Hello all! :)

Hello everyone!!

My name is Danielle.

I just came on board 2 days ago! I just realize I haven't really posted a formal introduction about myself yet. Well, until now. ;)
I'm a Pastry chef from Washington State. However, I was born and raised in California. But moved to Washington at a young age and married my dear sweet husband. I have been living here now for about 13 years and I love it!

Never really had 4 seasons of weather until I moved to Washington. lol... Which I truly appreciate. Since California only has 2 seasons like spring and summer all year round....

Anyways, I went to the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Pasadena, Ca. I specialized and got my diploma strictly in baking and patisseries. I wanted to do wedding cakes, I love the intricate detail that goes in to making a edible master piece.
Over 12+ years of experience, I kept perfecting my skills on how to make beautiful wedding cakes. (and still perfecting that ;) )

I love creating things with my hands. My father showed me at a young age how to paint with oils and acrylic colors. So I took what he taught me and applied it to food. And now I paint with food coloring. lol

On my off days, I still like to paint with acrylic colors, sew, crochet, cook, and of course bake. I love hanging out with my husband. Go for walks and watch a movie or two.

I love to create new things as well. I just created a new icing called Sugar's Silk®. You gotta check this stuff out at my website, http://www.sugarssilk.com/ It's an icing that feels like silk and stretches like spandex! And create lace pieces out of it as well. It's pretty cool!
