Creative Symbols, Questions & Tools #1
When you look at these little symbols of communication and creativity contemplate where they originated and how they have influenced cultural evolution. From these symbols Western civilization has grown dramatically from our days as cave dwellers. I often reflect on all of the elements that have brought us to the 21st century and the alphabet is certainly high on the list. 
Imagine the first cave dwellers. They used fire charcoal to sketch on cave walls. What were their first thoughts that they symbolized? In those days questions were likely in the forefront of their minds. Questions like - What is this? Can I eat this? Should I run now? I suspect the first symbols may have represented questions and answers. The symbols below are primitive but highly relevant and keys to creativity in modern times.
Questions drive creativity and the iconic What if...? among others have brought us to an extraordinary technologically advanced world. Our creative tools are a never-ending source of opportunity for expression and education.
Being grateful for all our tools and using them to make life better is the essence of inspired creativity. Just don't get too overwhelmed by tech and the amazing information age. One of the few things that survived the fire that burned my house down reminds of a profound thought:

Good post. Symbols we use every day can be really ancient and we have no idea often, of where they came from.
My first job when I moved to Gainesville was writing and producing a marketing video for an inventor of computers that would translate Chinese to English. The symbols for the Chinese language completely baffled me. Really amazing to experience such divergent ways of communication and creativity.
