Adam Drewnowski, Director of the Obesity Center at the University of Washington, says our nature is always to choose "sweet and not bitter" things.
In the case of children their body language inclines their liking towards the sweet, in spite of being children, sweet things will be more attractive than bitter
¿But why does this effect happen?
It is established that from our ancestors when there was no study of what things were edible and what was to be eaten and not. They tested the found things and little by little a learning process was generated where our ancestors already knew what was poison and what was food.
However, the reality, and emphasizes the American Dietetic Association emphasizes that all foods can include sugar in a balanced diet, if consumed moderately and in appropriate portions, combined with regular physical activity. And as Consola Pardo would say "We must remember that there are no good or bad foods, just poorly balanced diets".
The MYTH that sugar is what makes us fat. It is totally false, this really happens because as a result we consume more calories than we spend per day. However, many people consider that it is better to leave it aside in order to prevent oral caries.
But the reality that to maintain a balanced diet and not generate weight imbalances in our body is important the consumption of sugar, carbohydrates and calories
