Hello Beautiful people of Steem For Pakistan and everyone in the steemit platform how are you all doing today hope you're all doing great, I will be participating in this wonderful contest which says ''Domestic Violence" but first I will love thank @abdullahw2 for organising such a wonderful contest.
I will be answering some few questions on the contest below.
What do you know about Domestic Violence? Explain in 2 paragraphs.
Domestic violence is violence committed by someone in the victim’s domestic circle. This includes partners and ex-partners, immediate family members, other relatives and family friends.
The measures aimed at combating domestic violence include conducting community-awareness campaigns, helping women and others who are vulnerable, gain access to needed help, and enforcing legal proceedings against the offenders.
Briefly Explain at least three main types of domestic Violence.
Emotional Violence: Thus, child abuse is a form of elder abuse through which people’s self-esteem and mental health suffer. They consist of the use of foul language, threats, humiliation and negative remarks both verbally and in written form in the work place. The goal is to diminish the victim’s self-worth and ability to resist and emotionally transform him/her into a vulnerable person dependent on the offender.
Financial Violence: This type seeks to limit a partner’s access to cash, keep them away from working or default on their debts. The abuser provides the victim with only limited financial resources and tries to control all ways the victim could gain more money with which to live, making the victim trapped in the abusive relationship.
Why is it important to raise awareness about domestic violence in society?
Since awareness creates a public outcry of the issue it leads to domestic violence victims coming forward seeking the help of the law and others to protest against such ill-behavior displayed by the abusers of such acts. It informs people how to differentiate when someone is being abused and how the community can help prevent such occurrences or possibly intervene in time. This gives society a reason to support the victims and an advocacy for increased legal protection. Finally, it changes the situation in the society making people appreciate safety and respect rather than allowing domestic violence to persist.

Yes, in the compound where I was leaving my neighbour is a victim of domestic violence, in they family they woman got married to a man who loves beating and bullying her, each time I hear the cry of the woman it's pains me alot hearing the woman cry she will be calling for help till the point that she will draw the attention of the other neighbours, people around were like advising her to leave the man but she insisted and stay with this man, he kept doing the same till they neighbours had to call the police to come pick him up but he ran because he was scared.
The situation actually made this woman feel unsafe because she was frightened that the man will come back guess what she took the advice that was given to her by the neighbours and close relative which was for her to carry her children and her belongs and go far away from her husband so that she won't get herself killed while trying to maintain a broken home, can this woman action be considered right or wrong 🤷🏼♀️.
My word to all married individual is to SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE because it destroys the thought of young individuals, breaks home and can also lead to death ☠️ of victims involved.

I really feel pity for that your neighbour who was a victim of abuse, how I wish she heed the advice earlier, but all the same we are thankful that she left alive, it is not a good thing to be in an abusive relationship or marriage, it is something that can break someone emotionally.
