Review: Steempress automatic posting from WP to Steemit
Today I took the #Steempress plugin on Wordpress for a test drive....
....and it was AWESOME!!
If you are running a wordpress based website and are currently doing the double posting battle between your site and bringing your content over to #Steemit, you know what a pain in the ass it can be- not just switching coding gears, but even just the time wastage of moving your content over- sometimes multiple times a day. This new plugin created by @howo and @fredrikaa, is the answer you're looking for!! Installing the plugin was completely painless... and that's coming from a very untechie person!
Today I posted my first post on RTS Earth, Viruses Raining down from the Sky using Steempress. I hit the publish button with some trepidation I have to admit, lol. But the article posted over onto my Steemit account within seconds and with only a couple of minor edits, it was perfect! I had to review the article for extra code that didn't translate between WP and Steempress- for example I had an embedded pdf in the article in WP that of course couldnt' copy over to Steemit, so I removed the embed coding and replaced it with a simple title/link substitution. I deliberately wrote the article with several features like bold, italics, headings, links etc... just to test how they would transfer over. As I said, other than the embedding code for the pdf, everything was PERFECT!!
Sooooo .... if you're tired of doing the double dance between WP and Steemit, I highly recommend you take Steempress out for a test drive. I'd give it 5 stars.... If I knew how to do that, lol.
Thanks for the heads up.
I have a WP site and have been battling about whether I should sync my content with Steemit but avoiding the issue due to added aggravation.
This sounds sweet.
:)
xox
as I said above- doing some small tweeks to coding (or removing stuff that doesn't translate between the two) was W A Y easier than doing a full reposting!!

Damn...
I'm getting rilly rilly tired of the wonky Steemit editor.
the onliest good thing about it is that it's better than the one at BUSY
(that thing makes me CRAZY...not just tired)
Am I gonna have to start a blog just to get a better editor?
I dunno....I might have to do just that.
Like your post
