ZenCash grows after listing in Binance

After listing ZenCash (ZEN) in its Binance listing, it got its 15 minutes of fame on the background of other assets demonstrating a downward trend. On May 23, the exchange placed trading pairs ZEN / BNB (Binance Coin), ZEN / BTC and ZEN / ETH. In one evening, the price of ZEN increased against bitcoin and the dollar by almost 40%, to $ 47.12, and over the last week, the value of the currency increased by more than 60%. The next few days will show whether this trend will continue on the eve of the first anniversary of the asset.

While ZEN is growing, the issue of ASIC-mining remains on the agenda. Now ZenCash can be mined with the help of new Equihash installations from Bitmain. The project team took a wait-and-see attitude and does not want to rush with the change of the algorithm. Representatives of the currency said:

We appreciate the decentralization and the miners on video cards - this is an integral part of our community. But changing algorithms is an extremely difficult task, and we do not intend to hurry with a solution that can adversely affect the security and integrity of the Zen network. It is important for us to study this issue and to evaluate possible options in order to work out a worthy plan.

However, the currency community on GitHub is generally against the asics. Its participants believe that these miners can lead to centralization, and also indicate difficulties with access to specialized equipment.

ZenCash is a private coin with an integrated management system and a repository where 8.5% of the mining fee is withheld. This model allows the ZenCash community to evolve successfully, but ASIC-miners caused some disagreement in it.

ZenCash arose a year ago as a result of the ZClassic fork (ZCL), which led to a jump and the subsequent drop in prices for ZCL, similar to the episode with Bitcoin Private fork (BTCP). ZenCash is quite a mature project with an organized team and reliable nodes, so Binance decided to include crypto currency in its listing.
