How Do You Quiet The Squeeking Hamster Wheel?
We are logical, independent thinking, human beings, right? That is what we want to believe. However, we have no clue how much our interpretation of happiness is controlled by society, or rather the elite, to be more surprise.
Follow the school of fish or be eaten is usually how we behave. He or she has a new mobile. Your mobile is getting old quick. You still think the mobile does what you want and it's sufficient.
However at some point it's society that makes you switch to a newer model, not your own actual decision to get a better device that can browse faster or have a more clear signal. If you don't switch you won't know...
I try to drench the sound of the squeaking hamster wheel spinning but it's not easy. Still I feel I do it better than most. Do you understand what I'm taking about and what is your point on the matter?

@dandesign86 that's really true. The way we feel and act are dependent on certain factors which we as an individual may or may not know about.
But I think @dandesign86 we equally have some level of control over this factors, what do you think?
I think We definitely have some control. But it requires that we wake up and start making our own decision based on what we want ourselves, and not based on what society wants of us
Happiness connected to a situation is a high and very precarious. Happiness connected to a conscious choice to be happy is something entirely different. It is often belittled by those who do not know how to achieve it or doubt it can be achieved.

You are correct. I do not believe in confirming to the society without understanding.
We can only confirm to our own thoughts and beliefs.
