The Whole Enchilada - FFF - Round 40

You ready for some monkey business? No problem. How about a spin on porn? Piece o’ birthday suit cake, there’s a spin on porn in this contender too. I saw a dental office, inside a restaurant, right next to the dessert bar where they serve drinks—that was a first. We had another unexpected lunch guest, too, remember Ulg? This Ulg’s name was Footy—a cool little brendal, mutt dog who likes belly rubs but doesn’t care much for bread and vegetables. And some other stuff, I’ll just pile it all on the same plate, thanks for another opportunity, @foodfightfriday! 40 weeks fellas, @jlsplatts, @weirdheadahces, well done gentlemen. 👍🏿

We left Golfito Bay on Monday—the sauna we just stayed at for thirty days. Eventually we’ll be in Playas Del Coco on the Pacific coast for a month but we have a couple of weeks to kill so we’re taking our time. On our way north, we stopped and had lunch at:

Sibu is a cool little spot with good #food off Route 34—Costanera Sur (south coast), in Uvita, Costa Rica. I’m piggy-backing #fff to practice using the GoPro—taking pictures with it, transferring them, etc. on this contender and I thought it would be a good idea to show you how still the grass looks on the side of Costanera Sur at 90kmh with this thing—check it out, you can see the pebbles in the asphalt:

I had the vegetable sandwich on ciabatta bread. It came with carrots, eggplant, pickles, onions, a bunch of other stuff, all kinds of vegetables. When you order a vegetable sandwich, wrap, bowl, etc, pretty much anywhere you go, they throw in a lot of every vegetable they have. I’m always so concerned everyone understands I can’t have aguacate I forgot to say no cheese—Footy loves cheese! I got a side of yuca fries, if you don’t know what yuca fries are, change that, muy rapido! Yuca fries are delicioso.

This is Footy I was telling you about, she’ll
make you pick up the vegetables and bread from the ground you tried feeding her but not the cheese—she loves cheese. Say cheese, Footy!

That’s the only smile I got from her, she posed long enough for that picture and got comfortable on Pura Vida’s feet:

Nothing abnormal about a restaurant with a bar. Even a big cocktail menu like that isn’t weird—this dessert case at the end of the bar isn’t weird either:

But... at the other end of the bar, the end where the coffee pot is, there’s a dental office. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to it—Clinica Dental Uvita:

After lunch, we continued North West toward our current location:

Jaco is the most developed coastal city we’ve been to, the strip malls here look just like any you’d see in California. If you click on that link you’ll read about the pacific coast and how Jacó has great surfing. What you won’t read about is how many tattoo shops, uhm... ‘working girls’ and massage parlors this city has—a lot! Jaco is a single lane town with one stretch of commercial road that extends about two miles, I bet there’s 15 massage joints on it and even more tattoo shops—I’ll do a post on it. No, that isn’t the spin on porn.

We hung out on a few different beaches for a little while and listened to the ocean on our way here. The coast is gorgeous, it’s tough to take a bad picture.

If you don’t stop along the way sometimes and give yourself enough time to breathe and look around, you might miss something.

Those are white faced monkeys. They were playing in the trees on the opposite side of the ocean—here, I’ll zoom in:
