Breaking news! Coinbase just listed BAT
The good news
Coinbase has listed the BAT token. While it is not yet listing Steem it does show that sooner or later Coinbase will be listing Steem. The BAT token also opens the door up to invite millions of people into the crypto economy in a legitimate fashion. This is important because one of the most difficult issues with crypto is that for most people they don't know ways to earn it.
Steem offers one on-ramp into the crypto economy by allowing people to earn Steem. BAT offers another important on-ramp which is built into the Brave browser. Smart move strategically by Coinbase too because it also popularizes Coinbase because people will have to sell or buy their BAT tokens from somewhere. I guess this answers the question in my previous post when I asked if "attention is the new currency".
One thing I don't understand is why Steem didn't work with BAT all along. It's mutually beneficial for both projects to work together.
was that prior to & reason for the recent 20% jump? hope to see them add steem soon!..I need to get on writing that letter....!
This is definitely great news. I know BAT is working with some medias on partnership to help them better monetize their content. Wonder whether Steem should do the same.
Some one has to do it.
