MISTAKES THAT BECOMES PRODUCTS
Hello steemians I appreciate as many that has been following my posts. I did like to share a lesson to us as regards making mistakes.
We all make mistakes and many of us run from doing things because of the fear of making mistakes. Can I tell you that, you can’t make progress in life, if you’re scared of making mistakes.
Jack Ma, founder and CEO of Alibaba said in one of his statements that you’ve to learn from other peoples mistakes and not from their success stories. Don’t just study peoples success stories, get their mistakes and tough goings too. You’ll learn from this to be successful.
Jack Ma said and I quote:

Jack Ma didn’t start achieving career success until his 30’s after his over 30 job applications were all rejected. But he didn’t see all of this as a failure, he kept pressing on till his tough stories became success storied that people hear and read about today.
There are life analysis you should follow as coined by Jack Ma, for every young man, it states that;
Follow a good boss [and] join a good company to learn how to do things properly in your 20’s. Learn from people and things around you, including the mistakes of people ahead of you.
In your 30’s venture into doing things yourself, just do it. Establish yourself.
Prioritize stability, family and the future generations.
In your 40’s, do things you are good at.
Spend time training and developing young people, the next generation in your 60’s.
It’s not a bad thing to make mistake, in the real sense, no one is above mistakes. It’s only a bad thing when you don’t learn from your mistakes and still make the same mistakes in the same way over and over again.
The reason why some sects and organization don’t make progress is because they do the same thing their past generations did, over and over again which did not produce any effective results, they never tried another method.
Making mistakes is not the issue in life, the issue lies in you not learning from the mistakes others made and the mistakes you made in time past.
It has always been said that experience is the best teacher, I want to correct that, it is the best teacher for a fool, the wise don’t need it.
Actually, the wise don’t get experience of what someone else had gotten, you learn from others mistakes and steps, and you get new experiences and make new mistakes.
It is easier to take note of success stories of successful men, and not take cognisance of their tough times, times when they made mistakes.
Lots of the products that are well recognized today were a product some peoples mistakes.
Take for example, Penicillin which was discovered by Alexander Flemming.
He only noticed a Petri dish containing Staphylococcus that had been mistakenly left open, had been contaminated by blue-green mould from an open window, which formed a visible growth in his laboratory at St. Mary's Hospital. This is observation from a mistake became the magic medicine in science today, Penicillin.
Also, Percy Spencer was experimenting with a new vacuum tube called a magnetron while doing research for the Raytheon Corporation in 1945 and this turned out to be the most used home and industrial equipment today, microwave.
The well consumed snacks, potato chips also was from mistake of a chef in 1853, in a resstaurant in New York.
A customer complained that the fried potatoes the chef prepared, and repeatedly sent them back to the waiter.
The chef (George Crum) out of frustration, took the request for a thinner potato quite literally and he cut the potatoes into thin slices, fried them, and covered them in salt. On getting to the customer, to his amazement, the customer loved it and appreciated it. That was how potato chips, the now worlds favorite snacks came to be.
At times you could get frustrated and tired, but just endure to keep on trying till you become successful in life.
Before light bulb came to be, you know how many times the inventor made mistakes before he came to the final conclusion, which we all use everywhere today.
The World’s most consumed drink, Coca Cola was born from a mistake by a pharmacist, John Pemberton, who was experimenting with coca and coca wines for opium-free alternatives.
He eventually created his own version of Vin Mariani, containing kola nut and damiana, which he called Pemberton’s French Wine Coca. Relying on Atlanta druggist Willis Venable to test and help him perfect the recipe for the beverage- which he formulated by trial and error, this eventually included blending the base syrup with carbonated water by accident when trying to make another glass. So, he decided then to sell it as a fountain drink rather than a medicine.
You can see how from trying to provide solutions to problems, mistakes were made and something new is been discovered.
Don’t be afraid to venture into something new, venture into it, make mistakes now, discover new things, establish something new and great.
That’s when you will be remembered and celebrated.
Your fear for failures and mistakes will take you nowhere than put you in the worst mistake.
Thanks for the time and attention.
