If hashrate goes over 80% over a 336 blocks signaling period then the protocol will be activated after another 336 blocks.
Once segwit activation is done 12920 blocks (3Month) later segwit2x 2MB hardfork will be activated automatically.
80% activation barrier could be crossed very soon.

. Corion is running the first ICO on Ethereum Classic.

.Sonm successfully sold in 2 days, 42M$ raised and SNM token starting today to be listed on Tidex and ETHdelta exchanges.

.Sia will announce this week a new product named Obelisk. I don't really know yet what will be the new features .

Looking at this survey, BTC has still a lot of population to convince:

76% of consumers are not familiar with Bitcoin, another data that proove how far we are from mass adoption.
Being familiar doesn't mean they bought it too.

Minority rules is a scientist theory from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that found a tipping point where a mibority belief becomes the majority opinion.

When 10% of the population are true believer of something, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of the society.

If we only need 10% of solid adoption to get enought momentum to convince the rest of the population, we might be closer to mass adoption than expected. Only a matter of time!
