What happens if the Moon hits Earth

Apparently as we all know if the moon ever came directly towards earth then there will first be a hugh sink hole within the earth's core, causing a huge shockwave and spreading a massive water wave and thwn cause the oceans to boil rapidly due to the overflow of lava from the earth's core. However the earth will still be alive but without water, land, or food and nothing but a ocean of lava, we sure as hell won't be. You can pretty much call it a world of shit, so that will be the official end of humanity if that ever happens.
