Some of the best conversation I have ever had were the ones I had with myself. Really, I don't generally talk out loud to myself unless I am a little upset about something and I just need to hear the verbalization of the words. Usually have a running commentary in my mind about things going on in my life... what I'm worrying about or what I'm planning for my future.
I am not any crazier than anyone else, I imagine, it's just interesting to listen to my thoughts come and go and change with the new perceptions that arise in my life. All of us sometimes talk to ourselves with ongoing dialogs of emotions and interpretations of what we really think and feel about things.
Life is amazing isn't it? We all trying to deal with our own situation and circumstances, and all the while our minds are ricocheting back and forth with so many wonderful, heartfelt expressions. We are with ourselves twenty-four hours a day, so it is important to really pay attention to what our minds are focused on what makes us feel good about ourselves. And just because you are talking to yourself doesn't mean you have to be overly strict and unreasonable. You'll end up getting more out of yourself in the future when your mind knows you are willing to listen.

Life isn't easy for anyone so if talking to yourself helps then do it. Just remember, when giving advice to yourself be honest, fair and understanding.
