Introductions:

Hello Steem-ians!

My name is David Smith and I'm new here. I come to Steemit as a podcaster. My program, Daily Dose Radio is a five-minute, five day a week podcast studying the Psalms verse by verse. I started recording in March of 2013 and have watched the program grow and change. In March of 2017 I came to the end of the Psalms and two weeks later started all over again. So, it's a four year journey but worth every moment of study and work to produce.

I use simple tools to record with - nothing fancy - but I feel that it gives the sound a unique quality. The readings are from my translation of the Hebrew scriptures. This allows me to do a comparison between what I translate and what the other versions have. (I don't recommend my translation. It is intentionally very wooden to create the contrast needed for the study. Although, I never force my work to produce a dissonance with any other.)

Daily Dose Radio hails Monday through Friday from Spreaker.com.  From there it goes out to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Soundcloud, YouTube, iTunes, and Stitcher - I think that's it. But I'm most happy that it now finds its way to Steemit! An independent social media site has been needed for so long.

I've been serving the Lord as a pastor for over twenty years. I hold a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees and I am currently working on a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree. I love to teach the Bible so I hope you'll check out some fresh and delicious Bible study by listening to Daily Dose Radio. It's what I affectionately call, "The best Bible bistro on the internet." If you want more information about the program or me check out the web page.

So glad to be here. See you around.

Dave

Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?

Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.
