Cryptocurrency: Alt Coin Speed Dating Part 2

Welcome back to Alt Coin speed dating part 2.

Recap:

As we all know there are thousands of Alt Coins out there to choose from and as the saying goes "more choice means more confusion."
To assist with this I will chuck up a quick snapshot profile of four coins, allowing you to quickly get to know them and what they do.
I will then provide the link below for you, so you can get to know the coin a little better if it happens to tickle your fancy.

I will also rate the coin using a not so sophisticated system of 👍 if I like it or 👎 if I hate it.
You can tell how much I like it by how many 👍 I give, with a max of 5.
You don't need to take my rating though as we all have different tastes so I will provide all the quick info you need to make your own assessment.

So lets dive in and see what eligible young Alt Coins we have today.

Komodo (KMD) Current Price: $4.89 USD or $6.17 AUD All Time High: $12.25 USD

Our first coin today is Komodo, which is a fork of ZCash. Komodo offers a platform that provides a complete end to end Blockchain solution for developers of any level and any industry.
It is simple to use and offers customised Blockchain solutions.
Komodo offers the technology, support and services to help developers rapidly deploy the right Blockchain solution for them.

👍👍 - Another dev platform. Some real hot ones out there that I probably prefer to this one but I read good things on it

Melon (MLN) Current Price $143.22 USD or $180.69 AUD All Time High Price: $263.47 USD

Second up we have Melon protocol which is a Blockchain protocol for Digital Asset Management (DAM) initially built on the Ethereum platform. According to marketsandmarkets.com the DAM industry will grow from USD $2.44 Billion in 2017 to USD $5.66 Billion by 2022.
Melon hopes to obtain a large chunk of this pie by replacing a large proportion of the middlemen with smart contracts, thus enabling users to perform the same tasks at a fraction of the cost, and with higher transparency & security.
Hefty price tag but it's worth noting there are only 599 thousand in circulation with a total supply of only 749 thousand!

👍👍👍 By no means a "glamour" coin but it seems to be bringing a real world Blockchain use to a growing industry with lots of corporate $$'s in it.

FunFair (FUN) Current Price 5c USD or 7c AUD All Time High: 19c USD

Next up we have FUN which is harnessing the power of the Blockchain to revolutionise the online Casino Industry.
FunFair aims to offer the ultimate Casino experience and will be fairer as well as faster than conventional ones.
Fun will also offer more flexibility in traditional Casino games and has a cool website that offers you the chance to play their range of prototype Casino games.

👍👍👍👍 I like FunFair and I own a fair bit of this one. Casino or gambling related Alt Coins are not my favourite as there is already and will continue to be a lot of competition in the space, but Fun does it better than most.

Dent (DENT) Current Price: 3c USD or 2c AUD All Time High Price: 10c USD

Last up we have an interesting one. Dent aims to tokenize the Mobile Data Industry and create a world-wide marketplace on the Ethereum Blockchain to sell and buy Mobile Data with DENT Tokens.
Dent aims to disrupt the world telecommunications industry by allowing users to sell or donate their mobile data allowances which have been unused.

👎 - So rather than my leftover gigs from my phone plan going to waste and resetting each month, I can now sell it!
Money for Jam, what an awesome idea!
Whilst it is an awesome idea, the cynic in me refuses to believe the worlds telco industry would allow this.
If every customer used/utilised all the data in their plans every month it would put an unbelievable strain on the telco's cell towers meaning they would need to spend millions on further infrastructure.
Telco's would undoubtedly find a way to stop their customers being able to do this.
