Luke and Mamakirbs - learning a new routine
It's really nice to have a community of people who are very interested in how Luke is. Truly thank you.
Luke has a rigid routine of tube feeding, vibrating vest, cough assist, medicated breathing treatments, and therapy sessions. Mamakirbs is there every step of the way to see that he gets the best treatment.
How is Luke?
I get that question all the time. It's always tough to answer. You know, because "fine" just doesn't really work.
He's hanging in there like a trooper. He never complains.
His lungs are doing much better than last week. Luke is always curious about "what are we doing?", but doesn't actually like doing a lot of activities. He has his routine that he likes to be assured of.
I like to remind people that say they are praying for Luke to remember to pray for Mamakirbs too. She is running on fumes (very tired) most of the time. I'm not really sure how she does it.

It breaks my heart and makes me so grateful at the same time to hear about Luke. He is such a trooper and your family is so blessed to have him. He is also blessed to have such a loving and capable family surrounding him. It can't be easy for any of you - parents nor children.
