The future for my YouTube channel is unclear. Sometimes it seems like the 8 years I've spent creating content and sharing there is worth it and sometimes not. Revenue on YouTube is going down for many creators... not up.
Let me clarify this. Sharing life is always worth it, but in this case I'm talking about the potential for earnings. Yes money. It's not "about money", but time is valuable. I have to consider how to make the time I spend valuable... to give some return to make sharing the content sustainable.
I don't like that clarification, but there's always someone that wants to tell me that "It's not about the money, so don't worry about it". I know.
With all that in mind I've decided to start putting some of my videos over here on DTube just in case the YouTube channel goes "down" for whatever reason.
This video is my most viewed video so I'm just starting with it. I may or may not move all 673 videos over LOL!

Well you have to start somewhere, I think that is as good of an idea as any other! It really is too bad that YouTube is doing that but I'm glad that there is another option that hopefully will work for you for now!
I'm not quitting over there, but want to have my feet firmly planted elsewhere should it come to that.
I understand that...at least getting started will prepare you so you will not be scrambling to get all of your videos off of YouTube in a short amount of time, if it comes to that!
I would post them in the same sequence you have them on youtube.
That would allow the viewer to gain context
That's an interesting idea. So go WAY back. I'd have to post 1 per day for 2 years to get caught up to now tho.
I was thinking of posting videos that kinda "stand alone". I'm not sure if I should put ALL of them on there.
Just my opinion, but putting them all up would ensure they are archived to the blockchain and accessable to everyone forever

Earlier this summer we had a hawk attack one of our ducks and had to chase it off. Little bugger! Duck is okay!
Thanks for inspiring me to do the same. Just saw youtube de-monitized one of my videos for improper content, a short video of my silly buck in rut. Nothing graphic at all. What confuses me is that I have a video up of a buckling we banded, and that one is okay. confused... Dtube, here I come!
It can't hurt to have that content in two places (unless somehow one site dings you for that???)
