My Mind is Getting Blown

Before you read this understand I am a complete newb when it comes to Steemit and Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency. I can't wait to read this in 20 years. I will be probably sound like this, and my son will howl with laughter.

I have been, for months, trying to find a way to possibly make money blogging and writing online. I love sports and writing and felt like I should give it a shot. I have worked a good amount of jobs and I just wanted something different very badly. I found out about Steemit on Reddit very early in the morning a few weeks ago. A pretty informative video that very much intrigued me.

I signed up, waited a few weeks and I was very excited to get an account. I felt spoiled at first, kind of like this was too good to be true. Post blogs or art or whatever and if people like it you can earn digital money called Steem and it can become real in my pocket? Bitcoin? Huh? I was taking in a lot of information about a rather abstract concept that I really wanted to be real. I didn't want to be scammed. I started browsing around the site and learning about crypto and became overall pretty convinced that Steemit is legit.

I really enjoy Steemit and the community has been great. It feels very free here, if that makes sense. I am happy to be a part of it.

Now, understand, pretty much simultaneously as I discovered Steemit I properly discovered Bitcoin and crypto. I most definitely heard of and understood Bitcoin was moderately popular. I really had no idea. But literally these past six days I did some more thorough research, more than I ever have.

Well I am pretty mad at myself now but also profoundly excited about what Bitcoin's potential is. Mad because I should have bought a ton of it when it was cheap. Honestly an epic tragedy. Excited, because as soon as I Youtube'd more about Bitcoin, the more serious I understood the implications. They were throwing out big BIG numbers when it comes to Bitcoin's possible future value. I just really feel I should not ignore it.

I feel like crypto is like out of some sort of Sci-Fi movie. I also picture a magazine cover in like a hundred years with some young kid with the title "How This kid made an entire $$$Bitcoin$$$ before 30!"

I wanted to start earning money somehow with my writing and Steemit just happens to exist. It presented itself to me almost. The ideal website for what I wished to achieve.

Life has not been easy. I do not intend to give out a sob story but believe me life has been hard. I have been talking to my girlfriend and our goal is to save up for an entire Bitcoin. We can worry about getting more later but for now one is our goal. I don't know if we are being foolish, but consider me fooled I guess, screw it I don't care. I have a son and a step son to think about. My girlfriend and myself, we are still very young. If there is any chance Bitcoin can become as expensive as some speculate I believe I should try to take a leap of faith.

The point of this article is to express how my mind is blown and fried by all of this. I am excited, I'm nervous. I have read a lot of articles and watched endless video, properly hyping me up. Why isn't everyone I know buying Bitcoin? I suppose there is always a risk it could crash but I can't help but get the impression it won't.
